Throughout 2017, I tracked every single music recommendation I received -- from friends and colleagues to Spotify algorithms to social media posts. Using this data, I compared the recommendations to each other to find the differences and commonalities between them. I cross-referenced it with my streaming history and was able to identify which types of recommendations had a more direct impact on my listening.
